I’m pleased to announce that I’ve scheduled my first photography workshop since relocating to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. I will be presenting “DSLR Camera Basics” as a three-hour, evening program on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at my new studio and gallery location on Hilton Head, located at 32 Palmetto Bay Road.
Workshop description: Learn the basics of digital photography and image editing workflow with the use of DSLR cameras for nature subjects. The short program will be in-classroom at the studio and gallery of Photography of Jim Crotty and will be limited to the first eight people who register and reserve a seat for the program. There will be demonstration and discussion on the basics of exposure, focusing, ISO/film speed, white balance, lenses, file formats and more. Also, an introduction to the use of digital image file editing and management using Apple Aperture with a quick review of Adobe Photoshop. To register and reserve please email [email protected]. The fee for the program is $45 per person, payable by check or cash on the evening of July 27, 2011.
This small group, introductory workshop will be repeated throughout the year, so if this month’s program fills-up before you register please let me know that you would like to be added to the “first to notify” list for the next program. These workshops will be held at my studio/gallery location. Just recently there was an open house/reception marking the completion of my new studio and gallery here on Hilton Head Island. I’m getting settled in and I’ve been busy welcoming a steady stream of visitors, many of whom are dining at nearby Delisheee Yo and The Backyard Restuarants. Below are the “before” and “after” pictures showing how the space was renovated from hair saloon to photography studio and gallery.
