Over the last few weeks I’ve been revisiting what I consider my more popular nature and landscape photographs, applying a few digital edits here and there and preparing each for online presentation with digital “mat” and logo. Earlier today I made public a collection of these images as a slide show presentation using Google docs. This is the corresponding gallery page that’s included as part of my main site at OhioPhoto.org. What I like about the program I use to manage the site is the fact that I can create a self-running slide show presentation that is NOT Flash, something that’s important with more and more users accessing the web via the iPad or through systems that don’t accommodate web sites that present visuals in Flash format. Some photographers think that having a Flash-based site looks cool, to them and other photogs. I’d rather present a site that’s accessible to as many potential customers as possible.

More and more opportunities for nature photography as summer wanes toward autumn and a more pleasing light returns upon the Ohio landscape. Photographers in the Dayton area are blessed with a local park system that provides easy accessibility with a wide variety of beautiful subjects. This video was filmed on August 7th at Wegerzyn Gardens in Dayton, one the best locations for garden photography that includes hummingbirds, butterflies and picturesque settings for portraits.
