Calm Photos

Autumn in Ohio can mean much more than just colorful landscapes. This is also the season of the best sunsets, especially when the clouds are illuminated with pastel colors after the sun has dipped below the southwestern horizon. Many of  the images included in the slide show were taken within the last month, with a few old favorites from other locations thrown-in to compliment the presentation. Those “other” locations include Utah, Colorado and South Carolina.

Jonathan Livingston Seagull was one of those records (back when there still were records) that I played over and over again, when I was 11 or 12 or somewhere thereabouts. I had forgotten about that album until a few weeks ago, when I saw copy of the book on display at a Barnes and Noble. I rediscovered the album and have been listening to it quite a bit. Some may think the Neil Diamond tunes and lyrics are “pretty corny” or they may associate them with the goofiness of the 70’s. For me the music fits the pictures perfectly.
